This year’s International Volunteer Cooperation Organisations’ virtual conference (IVCO2020) is set for 26-28th October. IVCO is the world’s largest conference for volunteering for development practioners and researchers, and this year it is proudly hosted by Australian Volunteers International (AVI) and Forum. For the first time ever, the conference is going online, allowing for greater participation all around the world.
Volunteering for Climate Action is the theme of conference, with a particular focus on the Pacific. The conference was due to take place in Fiji, but due to travel restrictions and environmental concerns it will be entirely virtual.
Climate change is the greatest threat to the planet and people, yet only 3% of global volunteering supports environmental sustainability. COVID-19 has shown us the importance of stepping up and working together. Join us at IVCO2020 and be a part of the movement to strengthen Volunteering for Climate Action!
